Celebrating Dr. Mike Orfanedes
We’ll begin at 12:30 p.m. with a special recognition of Dr. Mike Orfanedes and his years of service to UF/IFAS and the landscape industry as he joins us for his final regular LIAF meeting before retirement.
The celebration will take place from 12:30–1:00 p.m., followed by our regular meeting and educational program.
A Guide to Tree Care in the Urban Environment

Imagine Shaw will join us in person to present A Guide to Tree Care in the Urban Environment, exploring practical considerations and approaches to supporting healthy trees in urban landscapes.
English-to-Spanish Translation for the Landscape Industry
Jessimar Quintana | UF/IFAS
Jessimar Quintana will provide an overview of English-to-Spanish translation for horticulture, pest control terminology and tree care, highlighting key vocabulary and practical language considerations that support clear communication in these fields.
