LIAF Scholarship

It is the LIAF’s intention to give back to the community and to promote the advancement of new and upcoming members of the landscape inspector’s profession.  Accordingly, the Association plans to offer an annual grant(s) to deserving student(s) pursuing a degree in the green industry.

ELIGIBILITY:

  • The applicant should be a college-bound high school senior, a current college student in a 4-year program, or a student matriculating to or continuing a graduate program related to green industry study (i.e., horticulture, arboriculture, entomology, soil science, landscape architecture, urban forestry and related fields).
  • Only current Florida residents pursuing a degree in a school located in Florida will be considered
  • Applications will be accepted between April 1st and June 30th of each calendar year.
  • The recipient(s) and the amount of the scholarship will be announced in August, and the grant will be awarded to the recipient(s) by August 15th
  • The scholarship is non-renewable, but prior applicants and recipients may apply in future years.
  • Recipients must provide the Association with a W9 for record-keeping purposes, and tax liability (if any) is the responsibility of the recipient.
